When it comes to finding the right product launch venue in Melbourne, standing out is everything. Whether you’re unveiling a new vehicle, showcasing innovative technology, or creating an immersive brand experience, the space needs to do more than just look good, it needs to work for your concept.

At Zinc at Federation Square, product launches are designed to make an impact. And yes, that includes the ability to drive a car directly into the venue.

Vehicle Access via Bi-Fold Doors

One of Zinc’s most unique features is its large bi-fold doors, allowing direct vehicle access into the welcome foyer.

  • Vehicles can be driven straight into the space for display

  • Suitable for cars, motorcycles, and selected machinery

  • Seamless transition from arrival to showcase moment

This capability opens up a world of creative possibilities, especially for automotive brands or any launch centred around a physical product.

Behind the scenes, the events team works closely with planners to coordinate all access logistics and safety requirements, ensuring a smooth and secure setup from start to finish.

Forecourt and Foyer Display Options

The versatility doesn’t stop at the entrance.

  • The forecourt offers a high-visibility space for external brand activations

  • The foyer creates a powerful indoor setting for reveal moments

  • Indoor and outdoor areas can be used together for a layered experience

Imagine guests arriving to a branded forecourt activation, before moving inside for a dramatic product reveal. This flow allows brands to build anticipation and deliver impact at every stage of the event.

Built for Machinery and Large Installations

Not all product launches are small-scale, and Zinc is designed with that in mind.

  • Suitable for oversized displays and custom-built installations

  • High ceilings support large structures and visual elements

  • Open-plan layout allows for uninterrupted sightlines and movement

From statement centrepieces to fully immersive environments, the space can be adapted to bring bold creative concepts to life.

Designed for Impactful Staging

A great product launch is all about the moment. Lighting, sound, and staging all play a role in how that moment is experienced.

Zinc works in collaboration with trusted AV partners to deliver:

  • Dramatic lighting for reveals and presentations

  • Custom staging aligned to your product and brand

  • Integrated production setups for seamless delivery

Whether it’s a spotlight reveal of a new vehicle or a timed multimedia presentation, every detail can be carefully orchestrated.

A Launch Space That Works With You

From logistics to execution, flexibility is what makes the difference. At Zinc Federation Square, the space is designed to support ambitious ideas, not limit them.

With its central Melbourne location, adaptable layout, and unique vehicle access, Zinc offers a product launch experience that’s both practical and memorable.

Real Wedding: Angela & Yang

Angela and Yang envisioned a wedding that honoured tradition while embracing a modern, guest-first experience. A celebration rich in culture, elevated in detail, and designed to carry 190 guests through a seamless, beautifully paced day.

A Cultural Celebration. Layered. Immersive. Effortlessly expressive.

Angela and Yang envisioned a wedding that honoured tradition while embracing a modern, guest-first experience. A celebration rich in culture, elevated in detail, and designed to carry 190 guests through a seamless, beautifully paced day.

They found the setting at Zinc. Framed by the Yarra River and defined by contemporary architecture, the space allowed their story to unfold with clarity and intention, from ceremony through to the final moments on the dancefloor.

In February 2026, their vision came to life in a wedding that felt dynamic, considered, and deeply personal.

Wedding snapshot

Date: Saturday 7 February 2026
Guests: 190
Style: Ceremony and reception onsite
Venue: Zinc Fed Square

A Riverside Ceremony with Meaningful Touches

The day began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the deck, overlooking the Yarra River. A white baby grand piano set the tone as guests arrived, while a live violin performance accompanied the bridal procession, adding a sense of intimacy and occasion.

Incorporating elements that reflected their cultural background, Angela and Yang also arranged traditional pre-wedding photography prior to arrival at the ceremony, allowing them to honour this important custom while keeping the day’s timeline relaxed and seamless.

A Grand Arrival and Striking Photo Moments

Prior to the ceremony, the celebration began with a grand arrival. Angela and her bridesmaids stepped out of a limousine onto a red carpet entrance, setting a confident, celebratory tone.

The venue’s architectural frontage and riverside setting also became the perfect backdrop for group photos after the ceremony, capturing the scale of the day while still feeling refined and polished.

Cocktail Hour with Curated Experiences

Following group photos, guests settled in for cocktail hour - designed as more than just a transition, it became an experience in itself. Guests enjoyed curated canapés alongside a dedicated whisky and gin cart, while interactive elements added another layer of engagement.

A live illustrator sketched portraits of guests throughout the evening, and a photo booth studio offered a fun, personalised way to capture memories. These thoughtful additions helped create a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere before the reception began.

A Dramatic Room Reveal and Refined Dining Experience

One of the standout moments of the evening was the room reveal. Guests were welcomed into the reception space in a way that felt intentional and cinematic, marking a clear shift into the next chapter of the celebration.

Dining was a highlight, combining premium shared elements with individually plated courses. Tasmanian oysters and sourdough with cultured butter marked the beginning of the menu, setting the tone for what followed.

Entrées alternated between citrus-cured kingfish and glazed duck breast, while mains featured roasted barramundi and char-grilled beef eye fillet. Shared seasonal sides brought a sense of abundance to the table, finishing with dessert canapés including lemon curd tart and chocolate mousse.

High-Impact Moments and a Packed Dancefloor

As the evening unfolded, Angela and Yang introduced a series of high-impact moments that kept guests engaged right through to the final song.

Their first dance was elevated with a waterfall sparkler effect and subtle haze, creating a striking visual centrepiece. Later, Angela changed into a traditional red dress before opening the dancefloor, bringing a cultural nod into a modern party setting.

In a playful twist, late-night KFC was served as a surprise, a crowd favourite that added personality and energy to the night. The celebration closed with a confetti cannon moment, filling the space with colour and marking the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

A Seamless Cultural Celebration at Zinc

Angela and Yang’s wedding is a beautiful example of how cultural elements can be thoughtfully woven into a contemporary celebration. From meaningful traditions to elevated guest experiences, every detail was considered, creating a day that felt both personal and immersive.

With the ability to comfortably host large guest numbers while maintaining a sense of flow and atmosphere, Zinc offers the flexibility to bring these kinds of celebrations to life, whether it’s an outdoor riverside ceremony, a dynamic reception, or a combination of both.

For couples planning a wedding that blends culture, scale, and experience, Angela and Yang’s day is a perfect reflection of what’s possible.

How to Choose the Right Corporate Event Venue in Melbourne

Planning a corporate event comes with high expectations. Whether you're hosting a conference, product launch, awards night or executive dinner, the venue you choose will shape the entire experience for your guests.

Planning a corporate event comes with high expectations. Whether you're hosting a conference, product launch, awards night or executive dinner, the venue you choose will shape the entire experience for your guests.

Location, production capability, catering and layout flexibility all play a role in creating an event that runs smoothly and reflects your brand at its best.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Zinc at Fed Square has been designed specifically for corporate events. With contemporary architecture, flexible studio spaces and integrated production support, it offers event planners the infrastructure needed to deliver everything from conferences to large-scale gala dinners.

Here are some key factors to consider when choosing a corporate event venue.

1.      Flexible Spaces That Adapt to Your Event

Corporate events rarely follow a single format. A conference might begin with a keynote presentation, move into breakout workshops and finish with networking drinks.

The right venue needs to accommodate these transitions effortlessly.

At Zinc, the venue’s two architecturally designed studios can operate independently or combine into a large plenary space for conferences and presentations. Together they can host theatre-style presentations for hundreds of guests or transform into elegant banquet layouts for gala dinners and awards nights.

This flexibility allows event planners to design layouts that support everything from cabaret seating and classroom configurations to cocktail networking events.

2.      Seamless Event Production and AV Support

Technical production is one of the most critical elements of a successful corporate event.

Lighting, staging, sound and presentation technology must work together flawlessly. Any delay or compatibility issue can quickly disrupt the event schedule.

Zinc partners with an experienced inhouse AV and production team that understands the venue’s infrastructure inside and out. This allows for efficient setup, reliable technical performance and smoother rehearsals ahead of the event.

From conferences and hybrid broadcasts to awards ceremonies and product launches, integrated AV support ensures presenters, panels and entertainment are delivered professionally.

3.      Exceptional Catering That Leaves a Lasting Impression

Food is often one of the most memorable parts of an event. High-quality catering does more than satisfy guests, it reflects the quality and professionalism of your brand.

Zinc’s culinary team focuses on seasonal Victorian and Australian produce, crafting menus that feel more like a restaurant experience than traditional function catering.

Whether it’s refined canapé service during networking events or beautifully plated meals for seated dinners, thoughtful catering contributes to a more engaging and memorable event atmosphere.

Dietary requirements are also carefully managed, ensuring guests with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other needs enjoy the same quality dining experience as everyone else.

4.      Location Matters More Than You Think

Accessibility plays a major role in event attendance and guest experience.

A centrally located venue makes it easier for attendees to arrive on time, stay for the full event and continue networking afterwards.

Zinc sits within Melbourne’s iconic Fed Square precinct, directly opposite Flinders Street Station and surrounded by hotels, restaurants and public transport connections.

This central location removes the need for additional transport logistics and makes it simple for interstate or international guests to attend.

5.      Dedicated Planning Support

Even the most experienced event organisers benefit from strong venue support.

A dedicated event planner can help coordinate suppliers, align production schedules and manage run sheets to ensure every element of the event flows seamlessly.

At Zinc, the planning process begins well before event day, covering everything from venue configuration and catering selections to supplier coordination and rehearsals.

This collaborative approach allows organisers to focus on their guests while the venue team ensures the event runs smoothly behind the scenes.

The Right Venue Sets the Tone for Your Event

Corporate events are more than just gatherings. They are opportunities to strengthen relationships, showcase innovation and celebrate success.

Choosing a venue with the right infrastructure, service and atmosphere ensures those moments are delivered with confidence and impact.

With flexible event spaces, integrated production capability and a prime Melbourne CBD location, Zinc offers a setting designed to support corporate events of every scale.

Architectural. Intentional. Unmistakably Melbourne.

Nic and Maddy envisioned  a wedding that felt elevated, yet effortless. A celebration shaped by  atmosphere, exceptional food, and a setting that could hold 180 guests without losing intimacy.

They found it at Zinc. An iconic setting within Federation Square, framed by uninterrupted Yarra river views, Zinc offers a distinctly Melbourne backdrop – bold architecture softened by warm light, open space, and considered detail.

In November 2025, their vision came to life in a celebration that was relaxed, beautifully considered, and full of warmth from start to finish.

Where the celebration flows.

Luxury isn’t about excess. It’s about intention.

Nic and Maddy exchanged vows at St John Greek Orthodox Church on Lygon Street – a meaningful, traditional ceremony surrounded by family. From there, guests made their way to Fed Square by tram, taking in the iconic Melbourne streetscape, before arriving at Zinc where the celebration continued effortlessly.

Whether couples choose an offsite ceremony, like Nic and Maddy, or host their entire wedding day onsite, Zinc allows every moment to flow - from cocktail hour, to dining, to dancing – within a single, beautifully designed environment.

Champagne in hand, river views unfolding, and city lights glowing, the space shifted naturally from refined dinner party to high-energy dance floor, with every detail considered and every guest fully present.

Reimagining the Reception

Nic and Maddy skipped the traditional head table and redefined the dining room. Three long tables anchored the space, with the couple seated amongst their friends and family.

The result was an intimate, yet expansive. Conversation flowed, energy felt connected, and the room was alive with shared moments.

Long lines. Clean silhouettes. Considered styling. Effortless modernity.

Food Takes Centre Stage

At Zinc, food is never an afterthought – it’s central to a couples story.

Guests were welcomed with Aperol Spritz, setting a lively tone, before moving through a menu that blended refinement with fun.

Canapés

·         Salmon crudo

·         Pumpkin arancini

·         Chicken pillow sandwich

Entrée

·         Pan-fried gnocchi with pumpkin, sage and apple cider vinegar

Mains

·         Free-range chicken breast with charred baby corn and leek, saffron dressing and jus gras

·         Roasted barramundi with ratatouille, St John green sauce and soft herb salad

Sides

·         Proper roast potatoes with thyme salt

·         Ramarro Farm green salad

Dessert canapés

·         Chocolate mousse with raspberry and chocolate crumb

·         Lemon curd tart

·         Tiramichoux

The standout?  A Pidapipo gelato cart – a playful nod to one of the couple’s earliest dates. Later, as the dance floor came alive, the kitchen served exactly what guests secretly crave: Cheeseburger sliders with fries. Elevated comfort meets celebration energy.

The details that made it theirs

Every detail was curated without fuss. Individual menus doubled as place cards, each tied with ribbon and personalised with guest nicknames. Bonbonniere of handkerchiefs and sugared almonds offered a timeless nod to tradition. A family friend as MC added warmth and familiarity.

It was thoughtful, personal, and full of heart.

Tradition, energy, and a dancefloor that didn’t stop

Greek and Macedonian dance brackets brought infectious bursts of energy into the night, and Zinc’s open-plan layout allowed the night to expand without interruption. Guests flowed between the warmth of the dining room and the riverfront deck, drinks in hand, city lights reflecting across the water.
