Wake & celebration of life venue in melbourne
Every goodbye deserves a raised glass, shared stories and a celebration as unique as the person you're honouring. Zinc is a private event space at Melbourne's Federation Square for wakes, memorials and celebrations of life, with generous spaces for family, friends and colleagues alike. We know that planning a post-funeral celebration often comes at a difficult time, so our team takes care of every detail, leaving you free to be with the people who matter most.
A Central Location
Set on the city's edge at Melbourne's iconic Fed Square, Zinc offers a tranquil retreat moments from the CBD. With Flinders Street Station just 300m away, trams nearby and parking close by, arriving is effortless for every guest, whether they're coming from across town or across the country. Many of the city's churches, chapels and funeral venues are a short journey away, so moving from the service to the celebration is smooth. For those travelling from further afield, some of Melbourne's finest hotels are right on the doorstep.
Once inside, the city falls away. Contemporary interiors and outdoor decks overlooking the Yarra River create a peaceful backdrop for gathering, remembering and spending time together.
A Space That Feels Personal
No two farewells are the same, so our spaces are shaped around the gathering you have in mind. You might host a relaxed wake where guests mingle and reconnect over drinks and canapés, a seated gathering around beautifully set tables, or a theatre-style setting for a memorial service and speeches.
From intimate gatherings to large celebrations of life, our flexible floorplans leave room for photographs, flowers, memory tables and the personal touches that help tell the story of your loved one.
